FAQ

WHERE DOES EVERYTHING TAKE PLACE?

All Passion Camp Main Sessions will take place at the Ocean Center, located at 101 N Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY AT PASSION CAMP LIKE?

A typical day at Passion Camp will include main sessions, Squad Wars, meals, time with Small Groups, and free time to hang out at the beach or pool.

WHAT IS SQUAD WARS?

Squad Wars are a week-long competition that everyone participates in! Every student and leader at Passion Camp is assigned to one of four Squads, and each Squad has a name and designated color. Squads can earn points by winning daily challenges and showing Squad spirit. At the end of the week, the Squad with the most points is the winner! We encourage students to be as creative as possible in representing Squads – so check with your group leader to find out which Squad your student is on and make sure they come ready to show some Squad spirit!

As soon as we know what squad we are assigned to + the respective color for clothes/gear, we will let you know!

WHAT IS OUR PASSION CAMP SQUAD?

We. Go. All. Out. For Squad Wars. We want to bring as much squad spirit AND squad swag as possible when we show up for Passion Camp. That means all things squad color. Have a squad color costume? BRING IT. Face paint? Colored hair spray? Tutus? Pom-poms? Bring it all. And get creative! In the past, students have gotten together to make t-shirts and accessories for Squad Wars outfits and we are so for it! Be extra!!

IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR PASSION CAMP?

We want all students to feel comfortable and welcome at Passion Camp and for there to be as few distractions as possible. One-piece bathing suits are required for girls and we ask that guys wear a shirt at all times, unless they are at the beach or the pool. Overall, we ask that students are modest, smart, and respectful with their attire. Rash-guards or tankinis are appropriate as one-piece alternatives.

WHAT CAN STUDENTS DO DURING FREE TIME?

Students can enjoy the beach or the pool, get together with friends to talk about what they’re learning at camp, or use this window for study & quiet time. Leaders will be responsible for the supervision of students during all free time activities.

WILL I HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT MY CHILDREN AND HOW TO CONTACT THEM?

Parents will have room information and room leader information prior to departure so you will have contact information for the leader that can best access your student, if you cannot reach them on their personal phone. Phone signals are inconsistent while we are in the Ocean Center so be patient with response times during camp sessions.

MY CHILD TAKES MEDICATION. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE A LEADER ALL MY STUDENTS MEDICATIONS TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM?

Insurance and liability guidelines as well as FDA regulations prevent us from taking full responsibility for your child's personal prescription medication. We can, however, be made aware that they need to take certain medications, and if your child has life threatening allergies, we can retain one of his/her epinephrine pens for emergencies. Passion Camp is fully compliant with all standards and has medical personnel present at camp at all times for emergencies.

ARE THERE LIVE UPDATES FOR WHAT IS GOING ON AT PASSION CAMP?
