WHERE DOES EVERYTHING TAKE PLACE?
All Passion Camp Main Sessions will take place at the Ocean Center, located at 101 N Atlantic Ave. Daytona Beach, FL, 32118.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY AT PASSION CAMP LIKE?
A typical day at Passion Camp will include Main Sessions, Squad Wars, time with your students in Community Groups, and free time to hang out at the beach or pool.
WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
Community Groups are where your students gather together to build community, discuss and process, and share stories of what Jesus is doing in their lives. Please note that space is not provided for Community Group time.
WHAT ARE FAMILY GROUPS?
Commonly referred to as small groups, this is a group of 4-8 students from one church who will process together what God is doing in their lives through camp. Family Groups are typically led by small group leaders from your church.
WHAT ARE SQUADS?
Squads provide a high-energy, fun, and competitive element to Passion Camp! Students are grouped into teams and led in large group activities as they compete throughout the week, and at the end, only one Squad will win!
Our Squad is GLOW. Fluorescent orange is the color. We encourage kids to bring anything clothing, hats and accessories that have that color.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR PASSION CAMP?
We want all students to feel comfortable and welcome at Passion Camp, and for there to be as few distractions as possible. We ask that leaders be responsible for making sure all of their students are dressed appropriately during the week. One-piece bathing suits are required for girls and we ask that guys wear a shirt at all times, unless they are at the beach or the pool. Overall, please ask your students to be modest, smart and respectful with their attire. Rash-guards or tankinis are appropriate as one-piece alternatives.
WHAT CAN STUDENTS DO DURING FREE TIME?
Your group can enjoy the beach or the pool at your hotel. There are also various other attractions nearby. To see a complete list of what Daytona Beach has to offer, visit www.daytonabeach.com.Please note that leaders will be responsible for the supervision of their students during all free time.
WILL I HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT MY CHILDREN AND HOW TO CONTACT THEM?
Parents will have room information and room leader information posted in this document so you will have access to an adult leader that can access your child if you cannot reach them on their personal phone. Phone signals are inconsistent while we are in the convention center so be patient on returned phone calls.
MY CHILD TAKES MEDICATION. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE A LEADER ALL MY STUDENTS MEDICATIONS TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM?
Insurance and liability guidelines and FDA regulations prevent us from taking full responsibility for your child's personal prescription medication. We can, however, be made aware that they need to take certain medications and if your child has life threatening allergies we can retain one of his/her epinephrine pens for emergencies. Passion camp is fully compliant with all of the standards and has medical personnel present at camp at all times for emergencies.
WHAT IS THE LEADER TO STUDENT RATIO FOR OCC AT PASSION CAMP?
Passion Camp requires 1-10. We are at a 1-6.
