GROUNDSWELL
As a church, our hope is that we make such an impact locally and globally that the city and the world around us feel the grace and mercy of Jesus as we move out into the community to bring hope. Not temporary, fading, or low-impact, this is Groundswell. We are partnered with several organizations that allow us to walk alongside them to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.
THE CITY
CARVER COMMUNITY CENTER
The Carver Community Center is an amazing place in the heart of south Jacksonville Beach. It's a place where kids come for social, recreational, and academic activities. We have formed a relationship with the staff and kids at Carver Community Center, and we are so excited about the opportunities we have been given to serve there.
All serving opportunities with Ocean City Church go through our Anchor program. If you are interested in volunteering at the Carver Center, start the process by filling out an Anchor Application and indicate interest in Groundswell: Missions and Community Outreach.
MISSION HOUSE
Mission House exists for the homeless in the Jacksonville Beach area. They work to provide food, clothing, and support for the homeless community. They offer hot meals seven days a week, case management, and clinic services.
At Ocean City Church, all volunteering opportunities are run through our Anchor program. If you are interested in getting involved at the Mission House, start the process by filling out an Anchor Application and indicate interest in Groundswell: Missions and Community Outreach.
THE arc project
The ARC Project aims to bring hope and joy to every individual they serve, especially the poor, broken, and underprivileged youth. By partnering with organizations invested in the lives of inner city youth, the ARC Project intends to introduce others to the light and love of Jesus Christ.

COLLECTING FOR MISSION HOUSE
During the month of February, we are collecting travel size soaps, shampoos, and razors for the Mission House. There will be collection bins in the foyer each Sunday.

YOUNG LIFE
Young Life is a non-denominational Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college-aged kids around the globe. Their mission is to introduce young people to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. As a church, we support a local Young Life area.

THE WORLD

We are excited to partner with our good friends in Guatemala. Their desire and devotion is to love the poor in Guatemala, shining a light on Jesus Christ. Through relational ministries, they hope to impact generations to come, as this generation experiences freedom from poverty, oppression, abuse, and hopelessness.

6:8 Ministries
We are also partnered with our friends in Costa Rica, 6:8 Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational missions organization that exists to strengthen and expand the kingdom of God. They strive to accomplish this through offering affordable, life-changing, mission experiences to Costa Rica, as well as ongoing local ministries.
